Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Sarah Downen and Noah Blackwell released their debut EP as Golden Curls, entitled "Warm
Fiction," on March 6, 2012. The two started writing songs together over the internet in the summer of 2011. Dreamy synths, distorted percussion, and reverb-laden vocals frame their narrative lyrics in a fashion they refer to as "woozy pop."
